Volunteer Objective:

  • Members actively engage with CFA Institute staff to market the GIPS standards and maintain their integrity in the United States. They ensure representation of appropriate local market expertise. They provide feedback on the development of the GIPS standards, when requested. Members provide feedback on regulatory requirements within the US. Members are expected to contribute to the debate and decision-making of the USIPC to advance the cause of improving financial market integrity and assist with the development of the GIPS standards.

Work Location and Time Commitment:

  • The time commitment for this role is bimonthly conference calls or more frequent as needed, with significant time for document review and conference call preparation. CFA Institute members can earn Professional Learning (PL) Credit Hours for volunteer service on this committee (i.e., 1 CE hour per each call, including up to 2 SER hours per year).

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Members actively promote the adoption of the GIPS standards in the US. The individuals appointed must be willing to be committed and dedicated to active participation in the pertinent activities and initiatives of the committee.

Volunteer Experience and Requirements:

  • Members must have professional investment industry experience and expertise with investment performance related to the GIPS standards in the United States. You must currently work in the United States. Please note that you are required to submit your resume or CV with your application.
