Volunteer Objective:

  • The GIPS Standards Asset Owner Subcommittee Chair oversees the subcommittee responsible for the development of content specific to asset owners as identified and/or directed by the GIPS Standards Technical Committee.

Work Location and Time Commitment:

  • The time commitment for this role is quarterly conference calls or more frequent as needed, with significant time for document review and conference call preparation. CFA Institute members can earn Professional Learning (PL) Credit Hours for volunteer service on this committee (i.e., 1 CE hour per call, including up to 2 SER hours per year). Terms are for one year, renewable up to three years.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the subcommittee that is responsible for the development of content specific to asset owners as identified and/or directed by the GIPS Standards Technical Committee. The individual appointed must be willing to be committed and dedicated to active participation in the pertinent activities and initiatives of the subcommittee.

Volunteer Experience and Requirements:

  • The GIPS Standards Asset Owner Subcommittee Chair must have experience with asset owners and the GIPS standards. Applicants should have experience with pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, foundations, endowments, insurance companies, family offices, and/or consulting to these organizations. Please note that you are required to submit your resume or CV with your application.
