Our dedicated Candidate Study Support Group offers a collaborative environment that fosters accountability, peer learning, and shared insight throughout the exam process, while our Emerging Leaders Group helps candidates and young professionals expand their networks, build leadership skills, and engage more deeply with the local investment community.
To further enhance candidate success, we proudly partner with leading exam preparation providers Kaplan Schweser and CeriFi Meldrum to offer high-quality study materials, structured review courses, and exclusive discounts for our members and candidates. Society Initiatives

Candidate Study Group

Earning the CFA charter requires significant discipline, dedication, and support, and CFA Society Baltimore is pleased to help promote a bi-monthly in-person study group designed to assist candidates in their exam preparation. Led by a CFASB member and charterholder, the group provides a collaborative setting where current and former CFA candidates work through participant-submitted questions and challenging topics. Open to all CFA Program candidates, the group meets four times in the two months leading up to each exam window from 5:30–7:00 pm. While the study group is not officially sponsored by CFA Society Baltimore, we are happy to support this valuable opportunity for candidates seeking additional guidance and peer engagement. Click here for additional information. 

Mentor Program

Every year, approximately fifty new CFA Charterholders join the greater Baltimore investment community, and approximately 300 candidates sit for a CFA exam. These individuals, committed to professional excellence and ethics, will one day lead our investment community. The CFA Society Baltimore Mentorship Program has been developed to allow these young professionals to connect with seasoned charterholders who can offer career guidance and be a sounding board as they begin their journey as CFA Charterholders.
