JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead and guide the business line management and personnel in its risk management responsibilities on a day to day basis, specifically, identifying, managing and reporting operational risks inherent in the products, activities, processes and systems for which they are accountable.
- Direct the implementation of the risk management framework ; communicate its benefits and business value by promoting and spearheading the use of the various risk management tools.
- Conduct quality risk assessments and perform deep dive analysis to identify process and control gaps including root causes of risks.
- Ensure the business line specific policies, processes, and procedures are adequate and effectively implemented.
- Identify the unit’s risk management training needs and ensure appropriate education is provided.
- Assist the business unit in developing risk responses, establishing risk mitigating actions and solutions and defining timetables and accountabilities. Ensure that the risk mitigation strategies and processes as approved by the board and senior management are executed.
- Determine the unit’s risk exposures, emerging risks and risks that would have an impact to other business units and communicate to Senior Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- In depth exposure to Operational or Business Risk of Trust Banking Group.
- Good understanding of process, risk and control design concepts and governance.
- Good understanding of operational risks and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line, operations or risk roles specific to Trust Banking Group.
- Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions.
- Highly developed communication, networking and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure within a team environment.
- Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment.
2. Sales Trader
(BGC)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Services foreign exchange, fixed income and derivatives product requirements of clients (i.e. responding to inquiries, quotation, negotiation, documentation and closing of transactions)
- Works with relationship managers or account officers in Institutional Banking Sector as Treasury product provider to their managed accounts.
- Deepens customer relationship to sustain or increase Treasury products wallet share of assigned customer portfolio.
- Expand number of dealing customers and/or products dealt to grow business.
- Conducts marketing calls directly or jointly with Relationship Managers
- Provides customers market updates and forecasts, present product briefs and financial solutions to generate business volume
- Prepares client call reports, progress and market feedback reports for regular submission to the Department and Division Head
- Coordinates with the relevant Treasury desk for applicable rates and spots transactions with the designated trader or with Structuring Department to close position
- Assists in after-sales requests of clients
- Ensure that all activities and transactions are compliant with internal policies and regulations
- Files, safe keeps and maintains customer files
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant experience in Treasury, Markets Sales or Trust Sales
- A licensed Certified Treasury Professional or Fixed Income Market Salesman
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Amenable to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment
