The evening will include a recognition of the charter recipients, a short fireside chat with Dwight Hood, as well as plenty of time for mingling with friends, colleagues and peers. Dwight is the VP, Treasurer of Quest Software and a former president of the CFA Society Austin. He’ll share insights learned from an interesting career and his time volunteering with the Austin Society. Dwight joined Quest in 2016 when the company was divested from Dell Technologies and purchased by Francisco Partners (Private Equity). As part of the divestiture from Dell, he built out the Treasury group from ground up implementing all aspects of the Treasury function.. Prior to Quest, he held several leadership positions at Dell Technologies in Treasury, M&A, and Financial Planning & Analysis as well as held roles at Bank of America and UBS in New York on the Currency Options Trading and Sales desks.   Dwight has a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from Baylor University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Prior to StepStone, Mr. West was a member of the research team at Greenspring Associates, a venture capital and growth equity investment firm that merged with StepStone in 2021. Prior to that, Mr. West was a technology investment associate at JMP securities focused on cybersecurity and an associate management consultant within the strategy and organization practice at Booz Allen Hamilton. Mr. West served as a human intelligence officer in the Marine Corps. Frank Kelly offers his expert insight on the latest political news and events from Washington and around the world , including the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, U.S.-China relations, and the Ukraine-Russia War . Learn about the potential effects on the markets and what to watch for in the weeks ahead.   Speaker: Frank Kelly is the Founder and Managing Partner of Fulcrum Macro Advisors LLC, a political risk advisory firm based in Washington, DC. Having worked as a senior executive on Wall Street for close to 30 years as well as having served in senior government roles, Frank brings extensive global experience and insight into the public policy decision-making process and its impact on global markets. Frank began his career as a writer for President Ronald Reagan and went on to serve in the White House Office of Political Affairs. He remained at the White House serving as a writer for President George H.W. Bush. Frank then went to Justice Department in the Office of Policy Development focusing on national security and international issues. From there, Frank went to the US Securities and Exchange Commission serving as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Chairman and Chief Spokesman for the Commission. He then joined Merrill Lynch in New York serving as Chief of Staff and Global Head of Marketing for Investment Banking, Sales & Trading. He returned to Washington DC to establish and run Charles Schwab & Co.’s first Global Government & Regulatory Affairs operation. He also served as the firm’s first Chief Political Strategist. Frank joined Deutsche Bank in 2003 as the Bank’s first Head of Government Affairs and Chief Political Strategist. In this role he advised the Bank’s top institutional clients globally on US and geopolitical issues. He also had extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, establishing the Bank’s Direct Investment Advisory Group (DIAG), advising clients on sensitive national and economic security related mergers and acquisitions. Frank is a Senior Advisor to The Scowcroft Group, a global business advisory firm with an emphasis on emerging markets. He is also an adjunct professor at The Catholic University School of Business this fall where he will teaching coursework on Business Intelligence.   He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the American Council on Germany and American Institute for Contemporary German Studies. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation of America. Frank resides outside Washington DC in Great Falls, Virginia with his wife, Maura, on their working farm, Open Door Farm. Complimentary parking is available at Chateau Bellevue. Parking Directions: Use the following address 702 Nueces Street to GPS to go the parking lot of  Chateau Bellevue. Otherwise, if you use the google address, it will take you to the historical part of the building on San Antonio Street.  Guest can park in either lot (they own both). Signs will be posted to the public that the lot is closed for our private event.  You do not have to pay to park regardless of the posted signage.  Guests will enter under the canopy, into the elevator foyer area.  Once in the elevator they will press the button for the first floor (there is signage right by that button to let them know where to go).
