    Apr 16, 12:30 PM - 01:30 PM (MT)
One of the keys to helping companies and investors adopt stronger sustainability and ESG-related measures is gaining a better understanding of Canada’s rapidly evolving sustainability standards.  CFA Society Vancouver and CFA Society Calgary invite you to join us virtually on April 16, 2024, to learn more about the Canadian Sustainability Standards Board (CSSB) and its role in shaping sustainability standards in Canada. CCSB member Adelaide Chiu, CFA, will provide insights into how the CSSB operates within the context of international standard-setting and domestic regulations. Additionally, you will learn about upcoming activities and opportunities for involvement. Background:  The ISSB issued its inaugural standards IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 in June 2023 as part of its ongoing effort to enhance investor-focused sustainability disclosures globally. The CSSB, part of Financial Reporting and Assurance Standards (FRAS) Canada, collaborates with the ISSB to support the uptake of ISSB standards in Canada, highlight key issues relevant to the Canadian context, and facilitate interoperability between ISSB standards and future CSSB standards. The CSSB, with its 12 members including the Chair, was established in 2023.
