Participants will be introduced to best-practices programming in Python to clean, analyze, and visualize financial data. The morning will cover an Introduction to Python, while the afternoon will cover Data Manipulation with Python and the Pandas package. This core knowledge course is considered a fundamental prerequisite for all other advanced Python courses.  Prerequisites: A general understanding of programming principles is recommended but not required. Participants should also understand finance concepts, but in-depth analytical understanding is not necessary. During the session, participants will learn to import data from various types of websites and database API’s (HTML, JSON, XML, PDFs) using the pandas, beautiful soup and json packages. This is an Advanced learning module. It is recommended that participants first complete the Python Introductory Workshop, or already possess foundational level knowledge of Python.
