Which membership is right for you?

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is designed for early-career professionals and individuals beginning their journey in the investment profession.

It is ideal for:

  • Early-career investment professionals
  • Former Candidate Members
  • Professionals looking to engage with the CFA community while building their experience

Associate Members:

  • Join the CFA Society France community
  • Adhere to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct
  • Access networking and professional development opportunities
  • Cannot use the CFA designation
  • Do not have voting rights

Professional Membership

Professional Membership is intended for experienced investment professionals who are not CFA Charterholders.

It includes:

  • Former ESG Members
  • CFA Program candidates
  • Investment professionals working across the industry

Professional Members benefit from the Society's educational programmes, events and professional network.

Professional Members cannot use the CFA designation and do not have voting rights.

CFA Charterholder Membership

Reserved for professionals who have earned the CFA Charter.

Charterholder Members:

  • May use the CFA designation
  • Have voting rights within CFA Society France
  • Play an active role in the governance of the Society
  • Benefit from both local and global membership opportunities

How membership works

Membership applications are managed through CFA Institute for all membership categories.

When applying, you can choose between:

  • CFA Institute Membership + CFA Society France Membership
  • CFA Society France Membership only
  • CFA Institute Membership only

This flexibility allows you to benefit from the global CFA Institute network, the local CFA Society France community, or both.

Joining CFA Society France

To become a member:

  1. Visit the CFA Institute Membership page.
  2. Select the membership category that best matches your profile.
  3. Choose whether you would like to join CFA Institute, CFA Society France, or both.

Associate Membership

For Associate Membership, click "Join" under the Associate Membership section on the CFA Institute website.

The website displays the CFA Institute membership fee. If you wish to join only CFA Society France, simply select Local Society Membership, currently USD 80 per year.

Professional Membership

For Associate Membership, click "Join" under the Professional Membership section on the CFA Institute website.

The website displays the CFA Institute membership fee. If you wish to join only CFA Society France, simply select Local Society Membership, currently USD 80 per year.
