Financial Literacy

CFA Society Hartford's community outreach effort, with a focus on helping build and promote financial literacy. The aim of the program is for volunteers of the Society to present basic financial concepts to students, in order to prepare them for the financial choices they will come across as adults.

Partnering with Junior Achievement, CFA Society Hartford volunteers have provided financial literacy programs to a multitude of students over the last seven years.

Feedback from Financial Literacy participants at Asylum Hill

Since attending a Financial Literacy event at Asylum Hill, the attendee and her husband bought two rental properties,  and recently sold one of them.

Their daughter also attended the sessions and is now an entrepreneur.  Currently enlisted in the Army and in the years since Asylum Hill started her own rental business (chairs, tables, wedding/event type rentals) as well as an interior decorating business.  She self-markets herself through social media. Her future goals include law school.
