Waiver / Exemption

CFA Institute educational programs may enable you to waive certain requirements for other financial credentialing products, services, or organizations. CFA charterholders will be eligible to bypass the Level I CIPM exam.

Locally, three (3) organizations or professional bodies offer waivers and exemptions to CFA charterholders on the following professional certifications:

  • Securities Commission Malaysia - Capital Markets Services Representative's License (CMSRL)
  • FPAM - CFP
  • AICB - Chartered Banker

CFA Institute Asia-Pacific Research Exchange (ARX)

CFA Society Malaysia has become an official institutional contributor to the research content, publications, and recorded webinar materials on the CFA Institute Asia-Pacific Research Exchange (ARX) platform. 

This platform provides opportunities to:

  • Explore content from the Society and other contributors;
  • Free access to more than 3,000 research articles from industry professionals, financial institutions, scholars, regulators, and CFA charterholders to share, learn, and engage with peers in the industry; and
  • Earn Professional Learning (PL) credits.

CFA Institute Global Passport Program

This program aims to facilitate networking and connectivity amongst the members of participating CFA Societies and brings benefits and opportunities including:
