Education Committee Member

Volunteer Role Description

The Education Committee facilitates learning opportunities for our region's CFA candidates and university students (finance majors and beyond)! Its volunteers make presentations about the CFA Program to local universities, oversee the Society’s exam prep offerings and scholarship programs, manage the Society’s CFA Institute Research Challenge, and provide informal mentor opportunities (take intern/student meetings, host university company visits, etc.)

We are looking for new committee members who can:

  • Guide the direction of student and CFA candidate programming
  • Interact directly with these populations
  • Champion our current initiatives
  • Brainstorm and lead new outreach efforts

There's great potential to get plugged into additional universities, further involve students and CFA candidates in our robust Society, and expand our impact.

Students and CFA candidates themselves are encouraged to participate on this committee!

Time Commitment:

Committee meetings are held quarterly and last for approximately one hour. These meetings can be attended in person at our Minneapolis office or by Zoom/phone. Additional time may be required depending on the project work a volunteer chooses to focus on.
