CFA Society Pakistan hosted the prestigious Annual Excellence Awards in Karachi for the 18th time this year. Through these awards, we recognize the outstanding performance of financial institutions, corporates and professionals during the past year. The honorable Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue, Mr. Shaukat Tarin, graced the event as the Chief Guest and Keynote speaker. He also presented the awards to the winners.

16th Annual Excellence Awards 

September 2019

Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi

CFA Society Pakistan hosted the prestigious Annual Excellence Awards in Karachi for the 16th time this year. Through these awards, we recognize the outstanding performance of financial institutions, corporates and professionals during the past one year. Honorable Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, Dr. Reza Baqir graced the event as the Chief Guest and presented awards to the winners. His keynote address covered the current state and future prospects of the economy. The audience appreciated the Q&A session moderated by Muhammad Asim, CFA, President, CFA Society Pakistan in which many pressing questions were answered.

The new critics award category of 'Best Research Report for the Year' was introduced this year and resulted in much engagement and appreciation from the participants.

15th Annual Excellence Awards 

August 2018

Global Marquee, Karachi

CFA Society Pakistan hosted its flagship event , the Annual Excellence Awards Ceremony on 29th August 2018 at Global Marquee, Karachi. As always the evening was graced by luminaries and senior professionals from the industry. We were honoured to host Dr. Ishrat Husain, Advisor to Prime Minister on Institutional Reforms and Austerity who gave the Keynote Address for the event. Dr. Husain shared valuable insights on issues raised in his book "Governing the Ungovernable". He also graciously autographed the books during the book signing ceremony.

Mr. Nick Pollard, Managing Director, CFA Institute, Asia Pacific and Mr. Thomas Ma, CFA, CPA, FRM, Director, Government and Regulator Relations, Asia Pacific, CFA Institute, also graced the ceremony.

14th Annual Excellence Awards 

August 2017

Pearl Continental Marquee, Karachi

The Awards recognized the outstanding performance of financial institutions and professionals in 2016 in different categories. A notable addition to the awards was 'Recognizing Gender Diversity at Workplace' which was an inclusive award for the whole of corporate sector. We also introduced CFA Institute Asia Pacific Research Exchange to the audience which is a research portal focusing on the APAC region. 

We were honored by the enthusiastic participation of award contenders. Mr. Jameel Ahmed, Deputy Governor State Bank of Pakistan, graced the event with his presence as Chief Guest. Last year, the guests were requested to five their forecasts for FY2017 for specified variables by filling out a form including inflation, reserves etc. The winner for this interesting activity was also announced during the ceremony.

13th Annual Excellence Awards 

October 2016

CFA Society Pakistan held its premier event "13th Annual Excellence Awards Ceremony" on October 03, 2016 which recognized the excellence achieved by financial institutions and professionals in 2015 in different categories. View the Event Pics

We were honored to host Mr. Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq Hijazi, Chairman SECP and Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister Sindh as Chief Guests to the event who handed out the awards to the proud recipients. Their insights on industry developments, their personal experiences and words of encouragement to the audience in general and winners in particular served to build up the evening's anticipation at the right note.

The presence of many eminent personalities including Chief Executives / Managing Directors of our prestigious institutions made the event a huge success and truly celebrated the achievements of the industry. This time, an enticing feature was added and the guests were requested to give their forecasts for specified variables by filling out a form for the year 2017 including inflation, reserves etc. The most accurate forecast will be announced in the next year's Excellence Awards ceremony.

12th Annual Excellence Awards 

September 2015

DHA Golf Club, Karachi

CFA Society Pakistan organized the 12^th Annual Excellence Awards Ceremony recognizing the industry's performance in 2014 followed by a dinner and a Mushaira on September 19, 2015 at DHA Golf Club.

The presence of Mr. Mohammad Zubair, Minister of State/Chairman Privatization, as Chief Guest and his insights were appreciated by everyone at the event. Mr. Zubair presented the Banking, Corporates and Brokerage Awards according to the expert decision made by the senior panel of judges.

Flair was added to the event when Mr. Anwar Maqsood, along with his team, entertained the gathering with their 'Loose Mushaira and enthralled the audience with their entertaining skills.

We would like to convey our special thanks to Mr. Mohammad Zubair for taking out his precious time for our Society and a very warm congratulations to all the winners who made it big at the awards. ​
